6 2023-24 highlights Continued long-term transformation: Five Year Impact Report SLP was a pioneer Provider Collaboratives in both ‘shadow’ form and then in securing full devolved commissioning budgets from NHSE (three of just ten originally awarded) for our Forensic, CAMHS and AED programmes. The innovation and collaboration has continued and expended since day one, and last year we published the first such Five Year Impact Report in the sector. You can read it here: slpmentalhealth.com/FiveYearImpactReport Population Health and reducing inequalities Impacts include: • 3 3% fewer people detained by Police under S136 - reducing criminalisation and improving life chances • I mproved outcomes for ethnic minority background Forensic patients (over-represented in cohort): 62% of patients repatriated from out of south London have ethnic minority backgrounds, reducing the proportion of those out of area to just 22% • 5 0% reduction in Forensic LDA patients cared for out of area, and the new dedicated Oak Ward opened – bringing specialist NHS inpatient care for this cohort to south Londonfor the first time National recognition for impact We were proud to be recognised for many different areas of our work in the sector’s leading awards, which are presented by the Health Service Journal (HSJ) and judged by NHS peers, attracting hundreds of entries from providers, partnerships and other organisations across health and care in each category.
